History: Gurdis lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She has had some formal painting training, and achieved minor success. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Spice Merchant. She has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Spice Merchant.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. A freak accident while working with her Apothecary mother left her crippled. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions; and she doesn't get along with people that don't share her tastes
