History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Elves in Birel's homeland. Birel decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Butcher for hire.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Description: A well shaped woman just over fifty, she wears dark leathers with embroidery. She has dyed her greying brown hair a little too much giving a sharp brown color. She has gleaming, smiling blue eyes.

Personality: She is extraordinarily eccentric. She is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure she is not cheated out of a speck.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her father and mother. Her father taught her the rudiments of the Fisher arts, while her mother instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Her father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: He is irritable and easily angered. He is a bit of a bully and is not afraid to use his stature and powers to intimidate and hurt. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage daughter.

History: Zepar was born the youngest of three triplets. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. Recently the stress of being a Painter has made it difficult for him to sleep.

The dire rats captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Many dire rats want her driven away; and nothing but the best is good enough for her
