History: He was born in the east, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Gnomes in the east were limited. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.

Personality: Confrontational and typically high on some drug or another. She refers to her adoptive mother for almost all things she is unsure about, which are numerous. She is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.

Motivation: To reunite with her absent mother; and find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister
