History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her father. In her youth she was a Priest, and wanted to be a champion fighter when she grew up. She was working during a period of war, and as one of the natives she lived in fear of joining the others in being slaughtered. She saw the brutality and swore off her fighting aspirations, taking her younger sister on her back after seeing her parents die, and fled the country. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Balifra fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

She spends most of her days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There she gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: Jaxi was born in the north. At a young age she loved to build and create. Jaxi abandoned her home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: She wants random interesting trinkets and junk, hates to throw anything away; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Through the years after Dagnal was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Dagnal's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Description: This man wears a weathered and beat up set of banded mail beneath an oversized green coat. He is muscular with a powerful set of arms. His long black hair is drawn into a two foot long braid. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.

Personality: His voice, at times compared to that of a Nymph, lambasts those who consider themselves "civilized" with snide, belittling remarks; the subtle growl he speaks with growing louder in doing so, one can find it most pronounced, despite the otherwise natural purity of his tone. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: Balam lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion.

Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. He has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a man enough he will sell his own mother. Money is his most trusted friend.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and he is greedy
