Personality: He is intelligent and cunning, but he will too often allow his rage to get the better of him. He will lose his cool and rely on brute force to carry the day. The war was a terrible time for him, and Qualen does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Qualen was raised in a hard working conservative environment. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: She is filled with cunning. She likes to feign weakness letting people think she is weak. She is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure she is not cheated out of a speck.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. Like her father and her sister before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Miller. She was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of specialists.

Motivation: She is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs; and she'd like to take her coworkers down a peg

Description: Her skin has the orange glow of too much sun. She is dressed in a clean yellow cloak covering her clean studded leather. Her black hair is smooth and relatively long. Her brown unseeing eyes seem to look past you.

Personality: Mara wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Warlock, so she tries to act the part. She does a good job, for the most part... She is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of her. She is by nature obliging.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Spy and was forced into it by her family.

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and he has money and likes to spend it
