Personality: Akmen is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Personality: She is not truly malevolent, but she is obsessed with writing. She constantly tries to fill her life with writing. She also has developed a complete distrust of the Butcher profession.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Riswynn was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Like her father and her brother before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Crown-heir. When she grew older, she became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. She began work as a mercenary for hire. She would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.
