He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Personality: Her tongue was cut out and she uses sign language. She is accommodating to her spouse and as such limits her hospitality. She is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven herself a capable leader.

History: Kathra hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Dwarves in Kathra's homeland. Kathra decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. Some 10 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Kathra never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.

Personality: She has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. She is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with her big mouthed big gutted partner. Her partner is her best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. She never wears the same outfit twice, unless she absolutely has to.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Buvvie was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Buvvie liked to wander the woods near her home when she was young, something she still likes to do at least once a week. She never liked modest clothing or shoes, so she would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and she developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature quarterstaff.
