At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Personality: She is soft-spoken, optimistic and speaks nonstop, as she rather likes the sound of her voice. Her demeanor is somewhat feminine. She is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in her opinion.

History: Lia was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her mother was employed at, doing general labor. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever she goes.

She wears a top hat to hide her balding. Her face is full, her cheeks are rosy, and she always seems to sport a perfect smile and a twinkle in her green eyes.

Personality: She is happy with her job as a Miller. She turns her eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. She is ready at a moment's notice to give into her darker urges. She is a real pyromaniac and does not care who the fire hurts. She often ends up burning people alive in the fires she starts.

History: Quick was born with her father's beautiful face. She worked as a nervous Miller and found it very stressful. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 3 years.

Motivation: She'd like to take her coworkers down a peg; and a rival would like her out of the picture

Description: This eastern woman's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, she slurs her words together. She tends to wear a red poncho over her likewise colored trousers and shirt. Sporting a red mohawk this woman's hair draws a lot of attention. Her green eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: She is fixated on the number 70. She counts her steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. She seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. She spends most of her days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There she gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: She was born in the east, but her parents moved at a very young age to the south. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Bather. She became a Bather soon after.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark.

Description: A pudgy woman standing about 6'8" has a big stupid grin on her face most of the time. She wears very tight pants and wife beaters, though occasionally she sports a black coat. Her long black crest is drawn into a two foot long braid. Her eyes are gold and catlike.

Personality: She does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. She is accommodating to her spouse and as such limits her hospitality. She is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven herself a capable leader.

History: Chassath was born the youngest of three triplets. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a daughter. She left for the south, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother
