History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

History: He was born at the edge of vast island. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Burgell fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: Alston lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent mother.
