History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 11th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Halimath alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. Her father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her father was legitimate. She now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: She uses money and sex appeal to get what she needs; and she desires power and/or immortality

Personality: This woman loves writing and to teach people writing more than just about anything. She passes on several rewards to people in need. She makes a point to leave places better than she found them.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Barber hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister.

Personality: She has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. She is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with her big mouthed big gutted partner. Her partner is her best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. She spends most of her days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There she gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: She was born into a rich family. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Bounty Hunter they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Carter, and she later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: An old rival family wants her found.
