History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Barkeep for hire.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes goblins are coming to abduct people. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and revenge

Description: With brown face paint in a stripe pattern across his face, he wears a robe, a symbol of the four houses of cards around his neck, and a sword on his belt. His long brown hair is drawn into a two foot long braid. His silver eyes lackadaisically let the world flow into them.

Personality: He seems absolutely devoid of it. He stares off into space and will respond with overly literal and minimalist answers to questions. Melech is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His first spouse was a Carpenter, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: He seems to be bored by most things.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Her childhood dream was to be a Knight, but she was a colossal failure. She was granted martial powers by her dying brother.

Motivation: Her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion; and to be a knight again

History: Nija hails from a village terrorized by drow. A freak accident while working with her Ruler father left her crippled. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: She wants revenge against drow; and several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge
