History: His psionic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. Valorean abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He is ready at a moment's notice to give into his darker urges. He is a real pyromaniac and does not care who the fire hurts. He often ends up burning people alive in the fires he starts.

History: A powerful necromancer made him what he is. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Being a Shoemaker kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: He snorts whenever he laughs or is feeling confident. He has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her father and mother. Her father taught her the rudiments of the Tailor arts, while her mother instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Tailor responsibilities is difficult; and she feels threatened by others

Personality: She will rave to anyone who will listen. She moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep her interest for a month it is impressive.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and retire the richest woman in the east
