History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Brewer arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He found a children's book about a Dwarf Wizard who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered writing. After a long history of fighting, Shautha and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: The child of northern immigrants she idolized her father. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. After a long history of fighting, Spear and her spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: She is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions; and she feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help
