History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Gnomish companion (his 'brother'). When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

History: Beast was raised in a hard working conservative environment. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Brewer. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Shivering was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. The family's rival house kidnapped his sister with the intent that his sister marry their son to gain control of contested properties. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. A gifted student she started as a Bookbinder, but she got bored and became a Apothecary. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
