History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. John was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. John decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He hates Dwarves with a passion. As such he is filled with self loathing. He is skeptical of what others tell him and is slow to trust.

History: When he was but 3 years old his parents immigrated from the south. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Dwarves in Tordek's homeland. Tordek decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

History: Geva hails from a village terrorized by giants. In her 11th year, her parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Geva alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.

Personality: He is envious of other's things. He hoards treasure, art, food, wine, and anything that he so desires. He is able to make almost anything out of random pieces of junk.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. He was granted martial powers by his dying sister.

Motivation: Many brigands want him driven away; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it
