His father had died from a severe disease that was unknown to the village doctor. Gerard was heart-stricken from the event, and his mother started working long hours to provde for them. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: A deeply religious woman she believes everything happens for a reason. She is a font of random trivia from the lore and stories she has discovered

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She left for the west, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: She is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs; and her religion dominates her actions

Personality: She is a hateful person. She taunts others and blames them for her problems. She is always in debt, since she spends her money on lavish parties and gifts for friends

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To prove her worth to the world.

History: He was raised in a island tribe. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
