History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Althaea was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Glassblower.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a daughter. Some 5 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Fistula never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Ahvain's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: Born in the south to a Carter, Ahvain learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. After coming to the age of reason, Ahvain took it upon himself to study the divine arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland.
