History: Mastema lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. At a young age her father died while driving off some orcs. Her mother being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train her in rapier use. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by orcs. Mastema was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the orcs.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Whurbin embodies much of what other species detest in the Dwarves. He has a cruel streak; something he gained from his previous mentor. He harbors resentment against his former mentor.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. Whurbin was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Whurbin decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered writing. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

History: Gifted from a young age, Mumpena studied abroad. She made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
