History: Bertram lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and a rival would like him out of the picture

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. Since her father passed away years ago, her mother had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Born to a Merchant, his father struggled to pay the bills. Through the years after Paelias was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Paelias's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He would ruin relationships and cause injury. He was reprimanded several times before being given his current form and forced to learn humility.
