His blue eyes are desperate and heavily dilated. He has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.

Personality: He trusts no one. He is not readily capable for forgiveness and his ire never leaves him. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: Hadarai lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Personality: She is erratic and paranoid. She believes giants are coming to abduct people. She enjoys reading and quiet.

History: The child of northern immigrants she idolized her mother. Since her mother passed away years ago, her father had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and she desires to right it

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered south to less war torn lands. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Personality: She is a very philanthropic person; she spends her free time working at various soup kitchens. She is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. She haggles over everything, upselling her goods and buying cheap. She is persistent in everything.
