History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. In his 16th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. Eberdeb enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. A freak accident while working with his Map Maker father left him crippled. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.
