Personality: He is witty, but his monotone delivery comes off as unnerving Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. In his youth he was a Bather, and wanted to be a champion fighter when he grew up. He was working during a period of war, and as one of the natives he lived in fear of joining the others in being slaughtered. He saw the brutality and swore off his fighting aspirations, taking his younger brother on his back after seeing his parents die, and fled the country. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Painter for the past few years.

Personality: She is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before her hampering stammer kicks in. She is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She's also a talented Soapmaker, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: She wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. Her mother was very strict, and drilled into her lessons on being the perfect lady. She now owns her own business.

Motivation: She wants random interesting trinkets and junk, hates to throw anything away; and balancing her hectic life and new detective responsibilities is difficult

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Dyer work with an outfit from a few towns over. Dyer work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Personality: He is a man who does what he needs to. He will acquiesce to black mail and extortion to avoid trouble. He seeks to pay back kindness whenever he gets the chance. Whether it be in the form of unwanted serenades or the latest gossip he always seeks to do solids for his friends.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day; and he possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal
