History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his father. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

Personality: Sun speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Varis alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it

Personality: Theren is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
