History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His childhood dream was to be a Layabout, but he was a colossal failure. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Miller.

Motivation: Regain custody of his son; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the east. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Dragonborns in Kaladan's homeland. Kaladan decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: To be a Carter again; and he is unsatisfied with his job
