History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Frouse alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and he desires to right it.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Brewer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.
