History: He was born into a rich family. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Description: An older woman who is generally well dressed albeit a few years behind the times, she is not a threatening figure. She wears her chestnut hair up in a very large beehive style do. Her violet eyes are passionate and lively.

Personality: She likes to fabricate stories about her past exploits and how crazy she is, but in actuality she is rather bland. She has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: Vaina lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. After coming to the age of reason, Vaina took it upon herself to study the necromantic arts in their entirety; because of this, she was labeled a dark omen and banished from her homeland. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.

After several years of this he finally managed to escape. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it
