History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. She found a children's book about a Half-Elf Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. Avice decided she wanted neither the life of her mother nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with. During her early adolescence, she took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Gardener for hire.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Zook grew up listening to his mother's many stories. A freak accident while working with his Shoemaker mother left him crippled. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.
