History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He took after his mother in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his mother taught him to defend himself. When his mother died while fighting gnolls, the young Emerald began to lead the lost caravan. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Emerald was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the gnolls.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it; and he has money and likes to spend it

Personality: She is a melancholic, but persistent worker. She resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. She keeps company with all sorts of races to see how they think and challenge minds foreign to her own.

History: She was born into a rich family. Her arcane abilities were realized during a raid on her village. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: He considers himself the perfect gentleman. He makes a point to always show proper etiquette and frequently critiques the etiquette of others. He passes on several rewards to people in need. He makes a point to leave places better than he found them.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and balancing his hectic life and new map maker responsibilities is difficult

Description: A hulking man with gigantic muscles, he likes to wear darkened spectacles and heavy clothing, no matter the weather. He wears a feathered hat to cover his moderate length brown hair. His face possesses mild wrinkles. His smile is extraordinarily sincere though he does not smile often.

Personality: Rurik hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his writing career. He uses his nature as a weapon; he likes to lead opponents to think him in distress.

History: He got into the Sage business at a young age. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Sage hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and obtaining odd cultural elven artifacts is his passion

Personality: He snorts whenever he laughs or is feeling confident. He constantly seizes attention wherever he goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. He likes to think of himself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He worked as a nervous Architect and found it very stressful. He tends to his Architect job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.
