History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Margery was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform Being a Fortune-teller kept her interest for a while, but then she became depressed and bored. So she turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His first spouse was a Shipwright, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: He's looking for his big break; and retire the richest man in the south

History: She was born on a small isolated farm. Her homeland was ravaged by war and she spent much of her life rebuilding it. She's also a talented Shepherd, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: Further expansion of business; and many dire rats want her driven away

She wears her red hair down. Her face is feral with sharp distinguishing features. Her spectacle hidden eyes are a deep blue.

Personality: She loves telling others what to do and how they should feel about things. The war was a terrible time for her, and Williamina does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: Williamina lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. Recently she has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Gardener and was forced into it by her family.
