She refers to her adoptive father for almost all things she is unsure about, which are numerous. She is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: When she was but 7 years old her parents immigrated from the north. Through the years after Therlin was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Therlin's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Animal Trainer they were divorced and she won custody of their son. She worked as a Healer, and she later adopted a second son.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. Being a Assassin kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.
