Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic woman, Meriele's first love is herself. Her second love is also herself. She has a cruel streak; something she gained from her previous mentor. She harbors resentment against her former mentor.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She left for the south, certain she would find work there.

Description: This northern woman's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, she slurs her words together. She usually wears her grey robe and has her sai always slung over her shoulder. Her hair is long and red with streaks of blonde, and is pulled back with small grey clips. Judging by the bloodshot nature of her eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine she has not slept for days.

Personality: Emeny wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Monk, so she tries to act the part. She does a good job, for the most part... She loves being with her children and actually smiles when they are around. She would do anything for them. She dislikes her ex a great deal.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

He walks with a slouch but will stand straight to his full 4'10" when asserting himself. His hair is brown and curly. He has a dull look in his gray eyes.

Personality: He is shy and timid. He has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. In his 13th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and he made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it

Description: This man stands a little under 3'5" and is a bit bulky. He is very muscular particularly in the legs. He wears skinny pants and wears a blue and brown robe with the hood down. He keeps his white hair in a flapper bob. His fierce hazel eyes like to dwell on things.

Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. His temper goes off on the smallest of things. He tends to lash out at those around him.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and doesn't want to be a bookbinder and was forced into it by his family
