Krûk grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Krûk. Her father taught her the rudiments of the Mercenary arts, while her mother instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 14 years.
