History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. During his travels, Nordak and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Nordak discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Nordak fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. In her 15th year, her parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Serpent alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by gnolls. Serpent was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the gnolls.

Motivation: She feels threatened by others; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions
