History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. When John reached his early adolescence his Human mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. Some 6 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Gardain never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her mother and father. Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Marshal arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Her mother was very strict, and drilled into her lessons on being the perfect lady. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.
