Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. He has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Through the years after Sammal was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Sammal's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Description: A man of a pale complexion, he wears an entirely blue suit with yellow socks and a vest with buckled shoes. He is bald on top and has large red tufts of hair around his ears. His face is feral with sharp distinguishing features. His spectacle hidden eyes are a deep blue.

Personality: He is extraordinarily eccentric. He will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. He cares deeply for his spouse and does his best to make sure his guests look presentable.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Sage hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally.

Description: She has a missing left leg. She wears tight fighting clothing, which leaves very little to the imagination. She has styled her brown hair well, parting it to the left. She wears an eyepatch.

Personality: She is business-like. She takes instructions and follows them to the letter. She believes the world needs to unite to get rid of gnolls once and for all.

History: Tana hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. Her parents were killed by gnolls in a raid when she was still a young child. The gnolls captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A deep hatred of gnolls; and someone believes her a fraud

Description: He is an attractive man, lean and moderately muscular. He wears a fine chain shirt which he covers with brown colored cloaks and clothing. His black fur is knotted and matted. His eyes are a pleasant green.

Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. He is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: Gifted from a young age, Three studied abroad. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Three grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Three. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: She takes her job very seriously, in part because she fears she cannot get a new one. Eva enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for her love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Her mother raised her in a mountain cabin. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Expand her business; and money/treasure
