Personality: Verna hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate her. It was this clingy personality that held back her writing career. She dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. Her biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: She was born at the edge of vast desert. Verna liked to wander the woods near her home when she was young, something she still likes to do at least once a week. She never liked modest clothing or shoes, so she would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and she developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Mardnab and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Zaffrab was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Brewer. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

He carries his fan with him everywhere and carries himself as the perfect gentleman. He wears a wide-brimmed hat to cover his moderate length brown fur. His otherwise smooth face is marked with small tiny scars.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He is a very good compulsive liar and kleptomaniac.

History: He was born in the north. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Elegant grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Elegant. Being a Servant kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Servant responsibilities is difficult; and he has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day
