His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. Now he works as a dancing tutor during his time off.

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions; and he made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it

However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the dire rats.
