History: Ur-Dag lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature quarterstaff.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother.

Personality: She has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Brewer who has hired her part-time. She also has developed a complete distrust of the Dilettante profession.

History: Her divine talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Brewer. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. Ostracized due to the martial powers of her oldest brother, she and her siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. She has worked as a Miller like her mother before her.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Miller responsibilities is difficult; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever

Personality: He is highly sensitive about his name. He loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. He is a bit of a macho man and will challenge people to random contests of strength and skill, and invite them to random hunting and fishing trip.

History: He was born in a small plains village. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and his religion dominates his actions

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic woman, Carlin's first love is herself. Her second love is also herself. She is a great chef.

History: A powerful brothel owner made her what she is. Carlin was born on a far western forest where she grew up under the tutelage of her father, an expert Brewer. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: She is greedy; and she doesn't get along with people that don't share her tastes
