History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Motivation: She is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions; and she is greedy

Personality: While she acts the brute, she is far gentler than she would appear. When she's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, she's doing poetry.

History: Valida was born the youngest of three triplets. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Herbalist hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

Motivation: An old rival family wants her found; and doesn't want to be a herbalist and was forced into it by her family
