History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. He has had some formal music training, and achieved minor success. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help

History: Cairn was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor.
