History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Mella grew up listening to her mother's many stories. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the forest to a summer home near a ruined castle. She would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the forest due to the painful memories there. Mella took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up spear and armor she uses now. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: Gifted from a young age, Nicholas studied abroad. His parents were killed by brigands in a raid when he was still a young child. The brigands captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: A deep hatred of brigands; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge
