Personality: A grumpy gal she will invite people to lunch so she can critique them. Yet she still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. Despite her manner, she is extremely passionate and proud of her job, and she prides herself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Since her father passed away years ago, her mother had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: He snorts whenever he laughs or is feeling confident. He is frequently practicing swordplay.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.

Personality: She shows great sympathy to all travelers. She's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. She does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: A powerful slaver made her what she is. Her first spouse was a Painter, they had one daughter, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: To reunite with her absent mother; and doesn't want to be a bookbinder and was forced into it by her family

Description: He wears a lot of dark rich colors, with gold accents. He has relatively light skin and is very physically imposing due to his abundance of muscles. His hair, while still mostly blonde, has prominent grey streaks. His eyes, though not visible through his cowl, are violet.

Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the south. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the south; and he is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out
