History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Howard grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature kukri.

Personality: Her tongue was cut out and she uses sign language. She is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. She haggles over everything, upselling her goods and buying cheap. She is persistent in everything.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. In her 15th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her mother impaled in their home, and her father beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Personality: She loves telling others what to do and how they should feel about things. She constantly seizes attention wherever she goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. She likes to think of herself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Her father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her father was legitimate. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: She feels the way she acts is they only way to get by in the world; and she is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs

Personality: She barks her statements quickly and with little fuss. She prefers small words and is at her heart utilitarian. She cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist she will grow angry at them.

History: Born to a Performer, her mother struggled to pay the bills. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital.
