History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Ralf was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Ralf fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: Her mother raised her in a mountain cabin. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the plains to a summer home near a ruined castle. She would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the plains due to the painful memories there. Thea took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up shortspear and armor she uses now. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
