History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. A gifted student he started as a Spice Merchant, but he got bored and became a Carpenter. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

History: Spear hails from a village terrorized by illithids. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it

Personality: She can speak with the recently deceased. She does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of giants may trigger it at times.

History: Aline was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her mother was employed at, doing general labor. Her family was turned out during the war. She and her family wandered north to less war torn lands. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: She wants revenge against giants; and many giants want her driven away
