History: Born in the west to a Merchant, Matilda learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. A freak accident while working with her Miller father left her crippled. She has achieved small success as a Merchant.

When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Warrior in service of a powerful lord somewhere. A gifted student she started as a Shoemaker, but she got bored and became a Miner. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.
