History: She was born in the north. Her father was a mechanic, and taught her how to fix just about anything. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Merla grew up listening to her father's many stories. Since her father passed away years ago, her mother had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Bundrigo was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister; and doesn't want to be a spy and was forced into it by her family

History: Born in the west his family was never financially stable. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. He would ruin relationships and cause injury. He was reprimanded several times before being given his current form and forced to learn humility.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions.
