She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She has became unsatisfied with her lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

History: Mardred was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Her childhood dream was to be a Miller, but she was a colossal failure. She became a Bookbinder soon after.
