History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Jaxi fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by illithids. Rosalind was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the illithids.

Motivation: Her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the north were limited. He now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: He's attracted to the PC; and wants his loneliness to end
