History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Sage. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Sage.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and balancing his hectic life and new sage responsibilities is difficult

After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A deep hatred of giants; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it
